Description
The 6″ DMT Diamond Whetstone is the stone that introduced many of us to the DMT line of diamond stones. This stone is versatile because it is small enough to be portable, but still large enough for many sharpening tasks. Because it is made of 100% monocrystalline diamond, there is no knife or tool that is too hard for this stone. Each stone measures 6″ long by 2″ wide.
The DMT® interrupted diamond surface is designed for a reason: It works. The diamonds are embedded in a nickel surface that rests upon a steel backing. The unique pattern in the diamond surface traps the particles while you’re sharpening your tool or knife. This design speeds up sharpening by getting the abraded metal out of the way so you can continue to use the stone instead of cleaning up the swarf (metal filings created when sharpening).
DMT Diamond Whetstones come in a handy plastic storage box that doubles as a stone holder. The stone holder has rubber feet to ensure your stone stays put on your work surface while sharpening.
