Know Your Gauge: Gauge of a chain is the thickness of the drive link measured at at the tang. Excessively worn chain drive links are difficult to accurately measure. Use the number stamped on the drive link of the old chain to ensure correct gauge when ordering.

Determine the Pitch: To determine the chain’s pitch, measure the distance between the centers of any 3 consecutive rivets and divide by 2. 3/8 pitch is .375″.
