Shapton Sharpening Pond Provides a Super Solid Base for Sharpening

This base is not like any other sharpening base you’ve used. Measuring approximately 15-1/2″ x 12-1/2″ overall with 13-1/2″ x 11″ of working area, this base has plenty of room. And it weighs in at a whopping 7 pounds. That weight and the textured surface of the glass which grips the bottom of the stone holder insures that your stones are not going to move anywhere, regardless how vigorously you sharpen your tools and knives.

Constructed of two layers of tempered glass housed in a heavy-duty rubber outer casing. The Shapton Pond contains the water used during sharpening and makes clean up easily.
