Quick 60° Setting

The Quick 60° Setting on the SC-60 Scissors Jig makes it super simple to set the jig for 60°, the most common sharpening angle for scissors. The base of the tool rest portion of the jig has two quickset feet: one for 250mm (10″) wheels like those used on the T-8, and one for 200mm(8″) wheels like those used on the T-4. With these quickset feet, finding 60° precisely every time couldn’t be easier.

Built-In Angle Compensation

Of course this Tormek Scissors Jig can be used to sharpen scissors to angles other than 60° as well. For those cases when a different angle is needed, the SC-60 has built in angle compensation feature that makes it a snap to use with the WM-200 AngleMaster.

Smooth Sharpening

The surface of the tool rest portion of the jig features a hexagonal pattern that reduces friction so that the clamp portion of the jig slides effortlessly. Scissors sharpening on the Tormek has never been smoother.

Customized clamping

The SC-60 Scissors Jig features a unique pair of clamps for more secured sharpening. The holder has both a smaller clamp and a larger clamp. The smaller clamp serves as the main clamp, holding the scissors in place, while the larger one supports the tip of the blade to reduce vibrations. 

Fits T-8, T-4 and T-2

The Tormek SC-60 Scissors Jig is compatible with more Tormek models than any other jig. It fits the T-8 and T-4, as well as older models, but also in a first for Tormek jigs, it is compatible with the T-2 Professional Kitchen Knife Sharpener. The SC-60 mounted on the T-2 will accommodate scissors with blade lengths of up to 4 5/8″ (120mm) as measured from the pivot point to the tip. 

Please note: The SC-60 Scissors Jig is not recommended for wavy or serrated scissors/shears or for hairdressing scissors due to their special geometry.
